26th May 15 – Exclusivity clauses in Zero Hours Contracts are now banned.
26th May 15 – Employers who underpay the National Minimum Wage will face a maximum penalty of £20,000, on a per worker basis rather than per notice.
6th April 15 – Statutory Maternity Pay, Statutory Paternity Pay, Shared Parental Leave and Pay and Statutory Adoption Pay all increase from £138.18 to £139.58.
6th April 15 – Statutory sick pay increases from £87.55 to £88.45.
6th April 15 – Employment Tribunal awards limits rise with the maximum compensatory award increasing from £76,574 to £78,335 and, the limit on a ‘week’s pay‘ increasing from £464 to £475.
5th April 15 – People with a defined contribution pension can access their pension more flexibly under the Pension Schemes Act 2015.
5th April 15 – The right to Unpaid Ordinary Parental Leave is extended to parents of any child under the age of 18.
5th April 15 – Eligible Employees have a statutory entitlement to Shared Parental Leave and Pay, if their baby is due on or after 5th April 2015, or if they have a child placed with them for adoption on or after that date.
5th January 15 – Employment agencies and businesses in GB are banned from advertising jobs exclusively in other European Economic Area countries without advertising them at home.
